VIALL USE FOR THE SOLERIS SYSTEM

The Lactic Acid Medium Green Vial detection system for the Soleris instrument is a Lactobacilli MRS-based medium with dextrose and mannitol as the carbon sources. Bromocresol green (BCG) is used as the pH indicator. The blue-green color will change to yellow-green color by the metabolism of the sugars to acid by the lactic acid bacteria. No selective agents are added during manufacture. An initial test pH of 5.6-5.8 prevents the growth of some nonacidophilic Bacillus.
